Creating A Space to Reflect

Take the time to create a place to rest in the garden.

The weather here in Tennessee is finally cooperating for gardening. I’ve been clearing and cleaning and watching the plants return in all of their glory. I love springtime because of this! Last blog I talked about the ivy and other plants struggling to come back because of the winter but all is returning.

Creating a place to sit and enjoy our yard is important to me so I have several. The photo above is my rocking chair on our front porch area.

In the photos above, the left photo is a fountain piece you can easily add to anything. The birds love it and I enjoy several of them throughout the garden. I found them on Amazon. The second photo is an area in my garden where I can just sit down for a bit when working. It’s a spot that is sunny then shady the rest of the day. The last picture is an area in our backyard where it’s a shady area and I’m working on it just being a woodland area and Hosta’s are great back there. Just a few weeks ago we had strong winds, and a large Pine tree came down so the sun is back in that area, and I will have to watch it to see where to go from here.

In our back patio we have a vintage table and chairs and is the view from our kitchen which gets a lot of use and needs to be painted. There is always a project around the corner. The green metal chair can sometimes be found in various places.

So, what about you? Leave a comment on how you have created spaces in your garden, or you would like to start this creative venture! I love new ideas!
