Lisa Vasseur Jarvis

Lisa Vasseur Jarvis is a wife and proud mom to four sons. She has lived in Paducah, Kentucky her entire life and love it there. A former elementary teacher, she has stayed home many years to raise her boys.

When it comes to nutrition and food she shares, “Several years ago I decided to go back to college to follow a passion of mine and obtain my degree in Culinary Arts. My love for cooking as well as my love for healthy food came together and I started a heatlhy cooking blog called Food For Thought. I absolutely love creating delicious, healthy recipes to share with my readers.”

While Lisa is quite the healthy food enthusiast she also has a heart for fitness. Jarvis explains, “Along with healthy cooking, I am also passionate about fitness. I am a certified group fitness instructor as well as Fitness Nutrition Specialist.  I taught a fitness class at a local gym and recently decided to start a fitness program at my church called FaithFit that started in April 2021.”

Lisa also teaches a fitness class at a women’s recovery center in Paducah. She spends time overseeing and managing the food pantry at her church. In addition to Faith & Fitness Magazine she is a contributor to Christian Women Living magazine in the Health and Wellness section. Lisa loves being outdoors, gardening and spending time with her family.
